About the Job:
Reporting to the Director of Marketing, the Marketing Manager will support day-to-day marketing efforts at Twilio.
- Perform market research and prepare reports.
- Draft marketing collateral, concepts, and strategies for new and existing Twilio products.
- Assist in all weekly marketing activities for Twilio platform products (market new content, develop new marketing initiatives, coordinate with marketing, sales, business development and design).
Responsibilities:
- Social Media/Online Marketing – Generate content, which may include blog posts, screencasts, howto's, tweets - whatever gets the word out & helps developers discover Twilio and our API.
- Attend and run events (many are on evenings and weekends) and mingle with our developer community.
- Assist with the creation of presentations, sales materials and video sizzle reels promoting new Twilio products .
- Implement SEO and SEM strategies to drive customers to our product.
- Complete regular reports on the overall health of Twilio's customer acquisition
Requirements:
- 1+ year of marketing experience with a demonstrable track record of generating content for customer acquisition on a consistent basis.
- An excellent writer, capable of easily taking on new subject matter and speaking intelligently on a broad array of subjects.
- Unstructured problems or chaotic situations are exciting challenges for you because you enjoy creative, proactive problem solving.
- You hold a bachelors degree from a top-tier college or university, and you're excited to use what you learned.
- You love working with customers: listening to them, building relationships and solving problems.
- You have the chutzpah and energy to hit the ground running right away, drawing from your life experience and learning as you go.
Nice to Haves:
- Experience driving viral, social media and influencer campaigns.
- A strong affinity for technology. You pay attention to what’s new in tech, and have an innate desire to understand how things work.
- Entrepreneurial and leadership experience of some variety, such as starting a business, leading a team or club.
